The Maryland Building Industry Association held its annual Installation Dinner at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve, where new board members were sworn in. Mike McCann began his post on the Executive Committee as the Vice President of State Advocacy. MBIA members and government officials, included Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh, and Secretary Kelly Schulz, of Maryland’s Department of Labor, Licensing, & Regulation.
The MBIA operates with the mission to advocate for the building industry and to maximize business opportunities for its members. The organization represents 85 percent of Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s and St. Mary’s as well as Baltimore City, the Eastern Shore and Washington, DC. As an affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders, MBIA becomes one of the state’s largest and strongest trade organizations and one of the largest home builder associations in the country.
